There have been around 700 pageviews of the posts on this Blog mentioning the structure failure of the West Stand at Windsor Park, football stadium. Even the Nolan Show have been in touch about it!
These Blog posts highlighted the fact that God does indeed intervene in this world by His overruling providence. At times that overruling providence is designed to teach men the folly of their defiance of God.
1. The universe at large:
Psalm 103:19: The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Daniel 4:35: And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
Ephesians 1:11: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.
2. The physical world:
Job 37:5,10: God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.…By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
Psalm 104:14: He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
Matthew 5:45: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

11. The exposure and punishment of the wicked:
Psalm 7:12,13: If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors. Psalm 11:6: Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
