The Darkest of Dark Weeks

In July 2019 this excuse for an United Kingdom Parliament passed the Northern Ireland (Executive Formation etc) Act 2019, which received Royal Assent on 24th July 2019. The premise for its introduction was to give more time for the Northern Ireland political parties to agree to return to government and establish the Northern Ireland Executive.

However the legislation was hijacked by the liberal opponents of decency and morality. Amendments were tabled and adopted which required two pieces of wicked legislation to be foisted upon Northern Ireland if the Northern Ireland Executive was not restored by 21st October 2019. 

The Act required that the following regulations be introduced:

• To extend same sex marriage and opposite sex civil partnerships to Northern Ireland by 13 January 2020 (s8);
• To give effect to recommendations set out in the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) report in respect of lawful access to abortion services by 31 March 2020 (s9);
• To introduce a system of victims payments (a “victims pension”) in Northern Ireland made by the end of January 2020 to be in force by the end of May 2020 (s10)

Abortion

With immediate changes from 22nd October 2019 sections 58 and 59 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 have been repealed. This means that no criminal charges can be brought under that Act against women who terminate the life of an unborn child or against health care professionals, or others, who provide and assist in terminating the life of an unborn child. Any investigations or prosecutions under this law that were underway have been stopped. Guidance for healthcare workers was published on 7th October 2019.

Letter sent to Newtownabbey Times regarding the selection of a sodomite candidate to stand in the local elections

Dear Editor
Now that the dust has settled on the recent elections, and on what appears to be the DUP’s attempt to test the waters, it is important to restate that sexuality is always a matter of choice according to the inclination of the human heart. Sinful choices, therefore, consequently flow from a sinful heart. To argue ‘I was born this way’ is in reality an admission of sinful depravity.

Sadly, the human heart is “deceitful above all things and desperately wicked,” cf. Jeremiah 17:9. The sin of sodomy is one of those sins which flows from a deceitful and desperately wicked heart.

This same sin is further described in Holy Scripture as an ‘abomination’, cf. Leviticus 18:22; 'uncleanness’, ‘dishonourable’ ‘vile affections’, ‘against nature’ and ‘unseemly’, cf. Romans 1:24,26,27. The Bible uses the strongest of language against this sin.

Those who disagree with Transgender procedures within the Girl Guides are sacked

In a letter published today in the Belfast Newsletter Mr Callum Webster, the Northern Ireland officer for the Christian Institute, has outlined the fallout for those who disagree with the new transgender procedures recently adopted by the Girl Guides association. Those who disagree have been sacked!

This display of liberal intolerance is no surprise. Everyone must show tolerance towards all the perversions of the day and make accommodations for them. But when a Christian or someone else objects to these sinful practices then the real spirit among the socially liberal is displayed. It is a spirit of intolerance.

The lesson for girl guides? Shut up about transgender concerns 

Last year Girlguiding UK opted to let men can join as leaders – if they feel they have been born in the ‘wrong’ body. Likewise, boys who say they are girls could use female toilets, changing rooms, tents and showers. If this were not enough, in both instances the organisation advised leaders not to tell parents if their daughters would be affected. 

Primark - the Fire and Support of the Sodomite Belfast Pride

Yesterday a serious fire broke out in the Primark building in the centre of Belfast. It is five-storey listed building which has stood in the centre of the city since 1785.

The building was undergoing a major refurbishment costing an estimated £30m. The building has been extensively damaged by the fire and at present the Fire Service is not able to say if the structure is safe. There are "grave concerns" that Bank Buildings could collapse, the fire service has told the BBC. See here

The 'bank building' as it has been known was originally erected by Waddell Cunningham in 1785. It survived the Troubles when three bombs exploded in the building in 1975. In 1979, the Bank Buildings were taken over by the present occupier, Primark.

Thankfully no one was injured and the building was safely evacuated before the fire spread. Although one person who was in the store has reported that when the fire alarm went off an announcement was made that it was just a routine alarm and that the shoppers would be allowed back in shortly. Parents left buggies and prams behind, as they were directed out of the shop, only to discover outside that the roof of the building was on fire and they were unable to re-enter the shop to claim their belongings.

Primark's Support of Belfast Pride

Primark was one of the most prominent sponsors of the sodomite Belfast Pride parade which took place in the city recently. A window display in the shop contained rainbow-draped mannequins and loudly proclaimed the store's links to Stonewall, the sodomite lobby group.

Free Presbyterian Open Air Witness against Belfast Pride

Today the annual open air witness against the iniquitous Belfast Pride took place.

Rev Gordon Dane, moderator elect of the Presbytery, preached from 1 Corinthians 6:9-11: Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Just asking for Trouble - Girl Guides: 'Let boys shower with girls’ and 'hide it from parents'

New guidance has been issued by the Girlguiding association in the United Kingdom. It states that any boy who identifies as a girl will be allowed to use the toilets, changing rooms, accommodation and showering facilities of their choice.

Under the heading Organising accommodation for residentials the advice reads [click see to read the entire advice]:

It is important to work with trans people when organising accommodation rather than making assumptions or arrangements without consulting them.

Sharing accommodation - young trans members should be able to share accommodation with other young members if they wish. Some people may not feel comfortable sharing accommodation so in this case an alternative option should be provided. This should be done discreetly, in conversation with the young person and, if appropriate, their parent or carer.

Using facilities - the use of gendered facilities, such as toilets, can cause anxiety. Members are entitled to use the facilities of the gender that they self-identify as. [Emphasis mine]

Privacy when changing - a young person may wish to have more privacy when changing at a residential event and for activities too. Alternative, more private areas should be made available to all young members - including trans members - should they wish or request it.

Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) won't confirm whether a Christian can work in social care and express support for traditional marriage

Northern Ireland’s social work regulator, the (NISCC), has been called upon to spell out whether or not people who voice traditional marriage views are suitable to work in the field of social care.

The issue has arisen after Felix Ngole, who was kicked off a two-year social work course by the University of Sheffield for making remarks about homosexuality on Facebook, lost his appeal.

Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) has only responded by saying: NISCC would be very concerned if a registrant lacked sufficient insight where they could not recognise that it is inappropriate to post derogatory comments against any individual or group on social media. A situation like this would require assessment by our fitness to practise team.

Never Ever Enough!!!

First it was the clamour, a number of years ago now, for the decriminalisation of sodomy. Since then there has been an incessant push to make sodomy acceptable in society.

In recent times that demand had reached new levels. There was the demand for legal recognition of same sex relationships. Along came 'Civil Partnerships'. We were told by the sodomite lobbyists that this would be sufficient, that all they wanted was legal recognition. But it wasn't!

Next came along the demand for 'Gay Marriage' or what they 'Equal Marriage'. As if there can ever be any equality between what God approves and what He disapproves. The only part of the United Kingdom to resist this demand has been Northern Ireland. Sadly, the tide will shortly turn here too and sooner or later legislation permitting this perversion will be brought forward and passed.

But never satisfied the pro-sodomite lobby have also demanded that apologises be issued and retrospective legislation be passed granting posthumous pardons for sodomites who have been previously convicted of criminal and immoral acts. We had the sad, and sorry, spectacle at Stormont of politicians refusing to support Jim Allister's motion to stop this happening. See here

The Iniquitous March of Transsexualism

Two stories highlighted by the Christian Institute, this past week, bear witness to the iniquitous onward march of 'Transsexualism' in our society. [Click on the title of the article and the link will take you to the Christian Institute website]

1. Prof: ‘only one in every 20,000 kids has trans feelings’

A professor at a controversial ‘gender identity’ clinic for children has said that just “one child born in every 20,000” experiences transsexual feelings.

Professor Gary Butler, clinical lead at the UK Gender Identity Development Service, stressed that it is “incredibly rare” for children to ‘question their gender’.

2. ‘Children being pushed into transsexualism’
Therapists are ignoring parents’ concerns and children’s underlying health issues to encourage transsexualism, a newspaper has been told.

According to one mother, her daughter was referred to a ‘gender identity’ clinic after an appointment lasting less than an hour.

Sodomite Politicians use their positions to advance their personal views

Just imagine if this was a professing, evangelical, born-again Christian who openly stated that they would use their political position to promote and advance their personal, biblical views on sodomy and gay marriage.

There would be an outcry from the liberal media. Reporters and commentators would be indulging in outrage that such a thing was allowable in this permissive age. News bulletins would be leading on the story. Radio phones-ins would be running the story ad nauseam. Grieved and outraged members of the sodomite community would be wheeled out to tell all and sundry how offended and deeply hurt they are by such an outrageous abuse of position being allowed to take place. Social media would be aghast that such a thing was countenanced. All would be demanding that something be done about it.

There would be high pitched demands that such a person, who would use their political position to promote their personal, biblical views, should be sacked and removed immediately from their position.

Hypocritical silence

No such outcry, however, follows such an announcement from pro-sodomy and pro-gay marriage politicians. Hypocritically there is silence. Not a squeak is heard from any media outlet about this abuse of position.  Even worst, tacit approval and support is given to those who openly state that they will use their political positions to promote and advance their personal views on these moral issues such as sodomy and gay marriage.

Two glaring examples of this two-faced hypocrisy have been evident over the summer so far.

Scandal-hit Marie Stopes abortion clinics are facing fresh investigations

Marie Stopes abortion clinics are facing fresh investigations because call-centre practices show 'lack of respect for women and the law'.

The Daily Mail has recently revealed that doctors approve terminations for thousands of women they've never met. Wider investigations are due to take place after reporters discovered that some women are being signed off for abortions after only a brief phone conversation with a call centre worker. In some cases the conversation lasted as little as 22 seconds.

Marie Stopes doctors are then reported as agreeing to the procedures based on a one-line summary from the call centre workers, who have no medical training. This in reality is 'abortion on demand’.

An undercover reporter visited a Marie Stopes clinic, pretending to seek an abortion. Upon visiting a clinic, following a telephone consultation, the reporter noticed that staff had altered her reason for the abortion from what she had said on the phone. The request now stated: I just don't want the baby. This was designed to fit the legal requirements of the Abortion Act. If the woman fails to give a reason for the abortion which reflects those set out in the Abortion Act, she is encouraged to come up with a different reason, it was reported.

Statement by Government & Morals Committee of the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster on posthumous pardons for sodomites

The following statement has been posted on the FPC Government and Morals Blog site and sent to the Press.

Policing and Crime Bill: Legislative Consent Motion

On the 28th November, the above titled motion was brought before the floor of the Northern Ireland Assembly. The motion stated –
That this Assembly endorses the principle of the extension to Northern Ireland of a number of provisions within the Policing and Crime Bill, by amendment at Lords Committee and Lords Report stage, in so far as they related to UK maritime enforcement powers; UK cross-jurisdictional arrest powers; anonymity for victims of forced marriage and pardons for convictions of certain abolished offences.

The final part of this motion included “pardons for convictions of certain abolished offences” and was an amendment that had been introduced to the Policing and Crime Bill at the committee stage in the House of Lords by Lord Sharkey of the Liberal Democrats. This amendment appears to have been fast-tracked through the Justice Committee to be presented before the Northern Ireland Assembly.

In light of this plan to posthumously pardon those convicted of homosexual offences the following statement was issued-

The shameful evidence of standing on the other side

Last Monday in Stormont politicians, including a number of professing Christians, and Free Presbyterians, refused to support Mr Jim Allister in his motion to stop the posthumous pardon for sodomites.

Here is the physical evidence of their refusal to offer any support. These are still frames taken from the film footage of the debate. They show Mr Allister standing at the front of the Assembly waiting for someone to come forward to act as a second 'Teller' so that a vote can take place.

Mr Allister stands for two and an half minutes waiting for another MLA to come forward. Numerous MLAs can be seen sitting on the unionist side of the chamber refusing to show any support for the motion.

Shameful Silence by DUP Politicians at Stormont on Retrospective Pardons for Sodomites

In the day that thou stoodest on the other side…

The Northern Ireland Assembly, on Monday, 28th November 2016, passed a motion, without a vote being necessary, granting a retrospective pardon to sodomites who have been previously convicted of criminal and immoral acts.

This motion to grant a retrospective pardon was brought before the Assembly by the Minister of Justice under a wider motion relating to the British Policing and Crime Bill, which was designed to give legislative consent to a law already passed at Westminster. 

This motion did not pass through the Executive, nor was it put out to any consultation. The tabling of the motion had been hastily agreed to by the First Minister and Deputy First Minister using emergency procedures. 

Fighting Against Blasphemy

The Government and Morals Committee of Presbytery have been engaged in on-going correspondence with government departments and other bodies on the moral issues of the day.

In November last year a play was staged as part of the Outburst Queer Arts festival in Belfast called, “The Gospel According to Jesus, Queen of Heaven" The preview of the play on the Outburst festival website described how in the play there was a "revolutionary queer ritual in which bread is shared, wine is drunk and familiar stories are re-imagined by a transgender Jesus."

The Bible reveals the Lord Jesus Christ as the King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s and the eternal Son of God. The title “Queen of Heaven” is only used in the Bible in the book of Jeremiah to describe a heathen goddess whom God condemned. Furthermore the Bible teaches that homosexuality and transgender is sin. The play was a blasphemy against the Saviour whom we love and serve.

The Government and Morals Committee contacted various government departments and bodies who were listed as having sponsored this play. Among those contacted were, the Arts Council, which distributes funds from the National Lottery, Belfast City Council, The Department of Culture Arts and Leisure, The Department of Social Development and the Public Health Agency.........

A new low in blasphemy!

A play which portrays our Lord Jesus Christ as a transsexual is being staged in Belfast, as part of a sodomite promoting Arts Festival.  The play is entitled: The Gospel According to Jesus, Queen of Heaven.

What makes this more grievous is that this festival is being publicly-funded.

The Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster released a statement outlining their opposition to this new low in blasphemy. Although it seems not to have been picked up by the local press. The statement reads:

Dear sir,
Your paper on Monday contained the details of a theatre production. This production is a blatant blasphemous attack on the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ and deeply offensive to the Christian community.

Blasphemy is defined as the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God.

Over 3,000 people support the Ashers' Bakery owners

A special meeting had been arranged by the Christian Institute to show support for the owners of the Ashers Bakery. Over 3,000 people attended. There were 2,500 people in the main hall, 300 in an overflow hall and 500 people outside. Typically the BBC said there was only over 2,000. Those within the main auditorium gave Daniel McArthur, the bakery's general manager, a standing ovation before he spoke and again when he had finished speaking.
