Title & Purpose

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble:

for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand, Joel 2:1.

Brian,

Is HM Queen Elizabeth a Christian, by Christian I mean, Is she Bible believing born-again Christian. I know she is protestant, Church of England. But is she Christian?

I am not her final Judge. Jesus Christ alone is.

However, using the Scriptural standard of 'by their fruits ye shall know them', [Matthew 7:16,20] I would sincerely doubt it. I don't see in her a profession of historic Biblical Christianity. I don't read of her making any professing of Jesus Christ as her own and personal Saviour.

I trust and pray that God would indeed 'save our gracious Queen' and the royal house. She and they like us all need that more than anything.

Brian,

thanks for the reply but surely she must be a Christian, she is after all the head of the Anglican Communion and as such undoubtedly Protestant.

Are all protestants not true Christians?

Brian,

good morning, Does Dr Paisley's attendance at this ecumenical service not fully illustrate that God allows U-Turns.

or a classical example of something a cab driver said to me in the big apple, Sometimes we have to set aside our principles and do the right thing

Jesus went into the company of sinners

No, all Protestants are not true Christians. Not even all Free Presbyterians are Christians.

The confusion arises because the term 'Christian' is used in a very wide sense today. The term 'Protestant' falls into the category.

The Queen made indeed by the head of the Anglican Communion but that Communion has long departed from historic Biblical Christianity.

No, God does not perform u-turns. As to His nature He is unchanging.

Neither does He condone u-turns that are contrary to His Word.

If your surmising is accurate then how would you obey the commands to refrain from fellowshipping with unbelievers, cf. 2 Cor 6:14-18?

There is a difference between Christ speaking to an individual sinner and being in their company and being present at an ecumenical service.
