Title & Purpose

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble:

for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand, Joel 2:1.

No lie is of the truth! [Sodomite marriage]

The Apostle John wrote by inspiration in 1 John 2:21: I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

It transpires that David Cameron, British Prime Minister, has been seeking to bolster his party's support for Sodomite marriage by arguing that it a vote winner. The only problem is that he has been found out to be lying. To support his argument David Cameron was using polling data from a ComRes poll carried out on the subject.

However instead of bolstering support for the Conservative party, the promotion of Sodomite marriage will in fact lose votes. Mr Andrew Hawkins from ComRes has written to the Prime Minister pointing out the repeated inaccuracies within his argument.
Any argument that has to be bolstered by a lie is not worth supporting and as the Scriptures teach is not of the truth. David Cameron will discover to his cost that supporting and promoting that which is immoral will involve a cost. You reap what you sow: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting, Gal 6:7,8.

I wonder how much of David Cameron's present political troubles around the issue of child abuse and how close it comes to politicians generally, and specifically the Tories, is the harvest of sowing to the flesh. As God gave Israel no end of trouble when they departed from Him as illustrated in Old Testament times, so nations, governments and individuals continue to reap what they sow.
