Title & Purpose

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble:

for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand, Joel 2:1.

Billy Graham & Mormonism - more compromise!

I was informed of this by a reader in the United States - Thanks Tim

Billy Graham and his son Franklin had a meeting in North Carolina with Mitt Romney, the Republican party nomination for President. Read more here.

A short time after this meeting the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association [BGEA] chose to remove a reference to Mormonism from its website. Mitt Romney is a Mormon bishop.

Mormonism had been listed on Billy Graham's website as a cult, alongside Jehovah's Witnesses, the Unification Church, Unitarians, Spiritists & Scientologists. A cache version of the webpage which has since be removed can still be viewed.

Billy Graham has long been on the road of compromise. Having started out as a sound preacher of the gospel, [He received one of his honorary doctorates from Bob Jones University] he has moved right across the spectrum of Christianity to embrace Romanism and now Mormonism. How true are the words of Job: Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment, Job 32:9.

Billy Graham's rationale for supporting Mitt Romney is that they both hold to family values. I am reminded of some words attributed to C. H. Spurgeon: When having to chose between the lesser of two evils, chose neither!
