Title & Purpose
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble:
for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand, Joel 2:1.

Presbytery Statement on Abortion Referendum in the Republic of Ireland

Actions of this nature are the inevitable consequence of secularisation. As belief in God and awareness of His Word declines, so does resistance to abortion laws. It’s a matter of anthropology: when man believes himself to be a random event instead of a purposeful creation, he will inevitably draw the same conclusion about those both within him and around him. This will then enable him to weigh lives on utilitarian scales and so make distinctions about their respective value.
The Bible makes it plain that God considers even the deliberate abandonment of one’s child as an extreme example of heartlessness (Isaiah 49:15); and does not distinguish between the value of the child in the womb and the child who has made it into the world, using exactly the same word to describe both (Luke 1:41&44; Luke 18:15). Part Three - The Catholic Conspiracies Against Queen Elizabeth I
Queen Elizabeth I was possibly England’s greatest monarch. She came to the throne of a country deeply divided, economically bankrupt and devastated by the persecutions and oppression of her half sister, Bloody Mary Tudor.

Nature Confounding Evolution - World War II planes buried under layers of ice which are supposed to be ten of thousands of years old.
One example of nature confounding those who set themselves against God and His truth is observed in the account of the World War II planes that were buried under layers of ice which were supposed to be ten of thousands of years old.
The incident is detailed by Creation Ministries International (CMI) in one of their Creation magazine articles. The article in question is entitled The Lost Squadron and is to be found in Creation 19(3) June 1997.Thursday, 12 April 2018
C H Spurgeon - The First Resurrection
This is what he said towards the commencement of his sermon on how the reference to the first resurrection in Revelation 20:4-6 should be understood:
Before I proceed to enter into these privileges, I must remark that two modes of understanding this verse have been proposed, both of which I think are untenable.

Mary Magdalene
This film portrays Mary as a fiercely intelligent, resourceful woman who rejected the norms of being married and having children and instead insisted on following Jesus of Nazareth. This was what caused her to be, at least initially, condemned as being possessed with seven devils.

Sinn Fein/IRA don't like being questioned about their terrorist past
The Prime Time broadcaster's work has been described as "utterly repulsive" by the new party leader of Sinn Fein, Mary Lou McDonald.
The attack on the "southern media" comes amid allegations in Northern Ireland that Sinn Fein is trying to censor the media. The party denies orchestrating a campaign to boycott the Stephen Nolan Show on BBC NI, and criticised U105 presenter Frank Mitchell after he indicated his support for the Northern Ireland football team.

The Eulogising of an Unrepentant Terrorist Continues
McGuinness's family attended the unveiling along with unionist leaders such as Peter Robinson and Arlene Foster.
It is utterly sickening to see the continued eulogising of an unrepentant terrorist. As someone commented about McGuinness "The gravestones are monument enough".
Rev McIlveen says the Pope is not welcome in Northern Ireland
Rev McIlveen told BBC’s The Nolan Show this morning: “It is important at this particular juncture in the Roman Catholic Church, with so much clerical abuse, that the church gets its own house in order.
Free Presbyterian Church statement in light of the Pope's Visit to the Republic of Ireland
‘As reformed evangelical Protestants we totally reject the arrogant and, more importantly, unscriptural titles, claims and teachings of the pope. While, in obedience to Scripture and out of love for the souls of men, we cannot welcome this proposed visit, it will present us with a challenge to highlight the contrast between the teaching of scripture and the false doctrines of the papacy. Our supreme aim and overriding concern is to exalt the only King and Head of the church, the Lord Jesus Christ. To this end we continue to call all people, of all denominations and none, to a personal faith in Christ the Saviour as the only mediator between God and men’.”

Compromise of Billy Graham
Following his death just over a week ago, at the age of 99, Billy Graham became only the fourth private American citizen, and the first religious leader, in the history of the United States, to lie in repose in the Capitol building in Washington DC.
Below is a link to a sermon preached in Newtownabbey Free Presbyterian Church on Lord's day evening 4th March on the Compromise of Billy Graham, highlighting the truths he no longer wanted to emphasis in his ministry.

World Book Day - Books which push a sinful lifestyle.
Sadly this year the organisers have used two authors who are homosexual. One of these authors, Clare Balding, uses the opportunity to condition children to accepting this sinful agenda by including reference to a homosexual couple in the storyline in one of these books available to young children. The book in question is The Girl Who Thought She Was A Dog.

FPC Position on Those Who Compromise with Apostasy - The Compromise of Billy Graham
Rev David DiCanio, FPC missionary in Liberia, highlights the Compromises of Billy Graham
Rev. David DiCanio, a missionary under the Free Presbyterian Church of North America, produced and aired, on Liberia’s largest Christian radio station, a special program shortly after the death of Evangelist Billy Graham on Wednesday, hoping to inform people about concerns many have had with Graham’s ministry.“When I heard that Dr. Graham died, and saw online all the positive comments about his ministry, I felt that I had to put something together to show people in Liberia the truth about his compromise,” Mr. DiCanio said. “On numerous occasions, Billy Graham clearly stated that people could be saved without the Bible or Christ.”

Rome's Counter-Reformation Tactics #5 Insurgence Part 2
Over the centuries, since 1517, Rome has employed many different tactics and strategies. Sometimes she has been like a ravenous wild beast devouring all before her. At other times she has been as subtle as the devil himself in administering the wine of her fornication to deceive gullible Protestants. All with the aim of destroying and reversing the Protestant Reformation.Strategy Five - Insurgence -
Part Two - The Netherlands and England up to the days of Bloody Mary.
The Netherlands - Reformation truth had come down the Rhine from Germany in those heady days of Luther and was received with great fervour by the people. Later it was Calvinistic doctrine that was believed and practiced more than Lutheranism.

What is an Evangelical?
In another of his published writings he makes mention of what an Evangelical is. He indicated that he was happy to be identified as an Evangelical in distinction to all too many leaders in the organised church who doubt or deny precious tenets of our historic Christian Faith.
By using the term "Evangelical" Sidlow Baxter indicated that those who do so believe the five following persuasions:

Rome's Counter-Reformation Tactics #5 Insurgence Part 1
The tactics and strategies which Rome has employed over the centuries are:
#5. Insurgence - To counter the Protestant Reformation Rome turned to the use of political and military force. Where natives in new lands in South America or people in European nations needed "convincing" to become Catholic or to return to Catholicism, Catholic rulers such as Phillip II of Spain and later the Holy Roman Emperor, Ferdinand II, used political and even military coercion, either to enforce Catholicism on all in a given area or to force those who wanted to remain Protestant to leave altogether.
Across Europe from 1560-1715 there was the Age of Religious Wars. It is reckoned that between 1560 and 1715, Europe witnessed only thirty years of any semblance of peace. Romanism was being threatened on every hand, not only by the doctrines of Lutheranism but also by those of Calvinism. Biblical truth was spreading even into Catholic nations and Rome was not happy. Her answer was to wage war to the death upon Protestants, in Germany, Bohemia, France, Netherlands, England and Scotland.

65th anniversary of Whiteabbey/Newtownabbey Free Presbyterian Church
The work commenced in the old courthouse and police station in Whiteabbey village. The services were held in the old courthouse. Prayer meetings were held in the holding cells. of the police station. The police station later became the manse and later still was turned into a Sunday School complex.
A few photographs have survived from 65 years ago.
The following, taken from the introduction of the history of the congregation which was compiled and published in 2003 to mark the 50th anniversary, will outline some of the details.
Whiteabbey Free Presbyterian Church was the sixth congregation of the new denomination to commence. Crossgar, Ravenhill, Cabra [later Ballymoney], Rasharkin, and Mount Merrion preceded Whiteabbey as congregations of the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster.

Quotable Quote - J C Ryle
Beware of manufacturing a God of your own: a God who is all mercy — but not just; a God who is all love — but not holy; a God who has a Heaven for everybody — but a Hell for none; a God who can allow good and evil to be side by side in time — but will make no distinction between good and evil in eternity. Such a God is an idol of your own imagination! It is as true an idol as any snake or crocodile in an Egyptian temple — as true an idol as was ever molded out of brass or clay! The hands of your own imagination and sentimentality have made him. He is not the God of the Bible — and beside the God of the Bible — there is no God at all.
