The BBC, and other news agencies, are reporting that 95 of 228 republicans who have received the controversial comfort letters from the government have been linked to a staggering 295 murders associated with the Troubles in Northern Ireland.
These comfort letters informed these republican terrorists that they were no longer wanted for terrorist crimes committed before the 1998 Good Friday Agreement. Some of these 95 individuals are described as being 'notorious', which means that they are known to the public. Read more

This disturbing fact, revealed today by the Police Service of Northern Ireland, would suggest that some of them are politicians, possibly even sitting in government at Stormont! We are ruled over the by those who are grossly wicked. Sadly many, without an ounce of conviction or concern, love to have it so.
Such blatant disregard for justice is scandalous. Any system of government built upon such a practice is unworthy of the name and unworthy of any support. It is immoral, unethical and unscriptural!
Biblical principles have been turned on their head to prop up this shameful system of government, Romans 13:3,4: For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Instead of the civil power being a terror to evildoers it grants them immunity.
What is more alarming is the virtual silence from those who should know better and who but a short time ago took a different stance. Few it seems want to say anything. It seems that collective amnesia and leave of all good sense has replaced principle.
Such a wicked and perverse system of government cannot last and can never have the blessing of God upon it. God is not in the business of overlooking the murderous deeds of the wicked and rewarding them. He judges the wicked and rewards the righteous, Psalm 37:28: For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
How unlike that this present system of government is in Northern Ireland!
