The only 'cure' for Sodomy!

The only 'cure' for sodomy is the one administered by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. An example of this 'cure' are those who made up part of the membership of the Church at Corinth during the days of the Apostle Paul. 

In writing to that Church, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul speaks of those who practiced the sin of sodomy and how they had been 'cured', 1 Corinthians 6:9-11:
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate,
nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God
.

Such 'were some of you' [past tense] Paul states. This change or 'cure', to use the term employed in this media report, came about by the power of the Holy Spirit washing and cleansing the individual. It was not the only sin that had been previously practised by those converted to Christ in Corinth under the preaching of the Apostle Paul, but it was certainly one of those mentioned. 

As with any sin there is only one means of obtaining a 'cure'. It is to received a new nature inclined to holiness and obedience to God's Moral law through coming to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. 

No psychological treatment will ever effect what only the power of God can bring about. 

PS. I'm sure the Church of Ireland are in a pickle about the bad press they will be receiving by having this conference in their premises. They will be doing all thy can to distant themselves from it!
